This free online discount calculator instantly tells you the final price after a discount and exactly how much money you save. Enter the original price, pick a percentage off (or a flat amount), and read the sale price right away. It’s free, works on any device, and runs entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded anywhere.

How to use the discount calculator

  1. Choose Percentage off or Flat amount off at the top.
  2. Type the original price of the item.
  3. Set the discount — use the quick buttons (10%, 20%, 25%, 50%, 70%) or type your own.
  4. Optionally add a GST or tax % that applies after the discount, and pick your currency.
  5. Read the final price and the amount saved in the result cards.

How to calculate a discount or percentage off

To find a discount, multiply the price by the discount percentage divided by 100. The formula is amount saved = price × (discount% ÷ 100), and the final price = price − amount saved. If a tax is added afterwards, the final price becomes final price × (1 + tax% ÷ 100).

For example, an item priced at ₹2,000 with 25% off saves you ₹2,000 × 0.25 = ₹500, so the final price is ₹2,000 − ₹500 = ₹1,500. If the discount is a flat amount instead, you simply subtract that amount directly from the price. The calculator never lets the final price drop below zero, even if the flat discount is larger than the price.

Frequently asked questions

How do I calculate the final price after a discount?
Multiply the original price by the discount percentage divided by 100 to get the amount saved, then subtract that from the price. For example, ₹2,000 at 25% off saves ₹500, so the final price is ₹1,500.
Can I use a flat amount instead of a percentage?
Yes. Switch to Flat amount off and enter the rupee or dollar value of the discount. The calculator subtracts it directly from the price and never lets the final price go below zero.
How is GST or tax applied?
Any tax you enter is applied after the discount. The calculator first reduces the price by the discount, then adds the tax percentage on the discounted amount to give the final price.
Which currencies does it support?
You can switch between rupee, dollar, euro and pound. The chosen symbol is used for every figure, while the maths stays the same for any currency.
Is my data stored anywhere?
No. The calculation runs locally in your browser, so the prices you enter are never uploaded to a server.
